As any tool used professionally will, it has worn out. I called to get a replacement and they are out of stock with no time frame for when they will be back in stock. My only option given was to call back periodically to see if they are in stock then. I have had many brands of ratchets repaired or replaced, tool truck brands included, and have never been told to just wait and try again later. Usually they provide a similar model or get put on a list to get one as soon as they come in. I do know that the small ratchets can't handle heavy torque, so we do not use them under heavy load. After trying to remove a 10 mm bolt from a water pump the ratchet was done. I love milwaukee tools especially the battery powered tools, but this ratchet is horrible, and after reading all the bad reviews on it, the conclusion must be its a bad design with cheap parts.
