I have to wait a sew seconds before it will work again. It is nearly unusable. I am using 12ah forge batteries. I've swapped out different batteries, and it still cuts out under very minimal load. It currently at a service center. I initially loved it, but the brake bar broke after the second year. I would have to hold the bar back with one hand, while operating the saw with the other. The battery died a year later, so I disposed the entire saw. I then purchased an EGO 16\" battery chainsaw after reading many positive reviews. I didn’t care for the EGO at all. It took a long time for the saw to come up to full speed and it didn’t seem near as smooth as the Dewalt, so I returned it. I have many Milwaukee tools, so I decided to give the Milwaukee 16\" chainsaw a try. I paired it with their M18 12 Ah Forge battery. I absolutely love this thing. Faster than my two previous saws and every bit as smooth as the Dewalt. I mainly love the run time. After cutting tree limbs for 4 consecutive hours, the battery remained at 75%. Something my DeWalt could never match. I had 6 different batteries with me and still couldn’t finish the job due to the batteries overheating. This chainsaw is right in the middle. \n\nIt cuts fine, though the \"faster than gas\" ad copy is laughable... I assume they are including the time to start the gas saw. This saw is never going to replace a gas saw, but is very handy for small jobs for which hauling the gas saw out would be a pain.\n\nThe chain really likes to jump off the bar when cutting anything that's not a solid log (brush, ect). It works better than my gas chainsaw. The durability and lightweight of the saw gets me into tight places that I could not get to with a regular chainsaw.
