The dogs only wear them at night for backyard potty breaks--I am not a heavy user. These are not reliable and it doesn't seem to be a battery issue. They used to be better made. I cut them to fit loosely and just slip them over their heads and use their regular collar for the leash. I also connect two of my dogs collars and put them around my waist when I go running in low-light conditions and they work fantastic! When I brought it home with me it would not power on. I checked the batteries and they were dead. I returned the collar and exchanged it for a new one. I brought the second collar home and it was dead too. I went out and bought batteries and it worked but would not power off.\r\nThe switch doesn't work so it does not power off. I have to remove the batteries to turn it off?!?\r\nHopefully this wasn't designed this way.\r\nThe collar cost me $12 and another $10 for the batteries.I believe the product may be faulty.I should not have to remove the batteries in order to turn it off.
