Since I am 72, the low impact nature of the elliptical was really important. I am able to work out without pain in knees. The iFit is great. However that was not the case. It was extremely awkward to use and not smooth at all. I was very disappointed as I really like the Precor machine but at over $10,000 new I thought this might be an affordable choice. I was wrong. I returned this machine. It needed maintenance after three times of using. I’m 5’4 (118lbs) after it was maintained I continued to have problems such as the machine changing strides w/o me touching a single button. No instructions as to how to change into stepper etc…. i can’t imagine using this as a treadmill because the stride was so enormous that you had to hang in. I do not recommend this machine at all.
