I was not sure at first but after being able to use it this fall on 6 different animals the knife held an edge very well and was easily sharpened. The gut hook was also an added bonus and made the job that much easier. I will be replacing all my other knives in my pack and replacing them with this knife from here on out. The. weight of this knife is also much lighter than it looks!
