At the time it was the only collar pet smart had, $190 and I needed it that weekend so I bought it. When it's charged it works well but it doesn't hold a charge for more than 2 days, even without use. Also, the device itself is coming unattached from the collar. I have a much cheaper version of a petsafe collar for another dog. It stays charged up to 2 weeks, depending on how much it's used. I would not recommend this to anyone. It was 4 times the cost of the cheap one that always works. I have a 90lb shepherd and a 90lb pit bull. I have ordered a replacement collar to make sure it isn't the receiver part of the collar. The batteries are both good in the transmitter and receiver. Now, for some reason, one isn't even working it's just flashing red and not pairing or responding. And we only used them for two days. Otherwise it did help the one dog, but the other dog needed higher level and it only goes to 7. It also doesn't unlock, even though I push the up/down simultaneously. Neither of them unlock, but I don't know what that means because when they worked, it didn't seem to matter. This collar works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I have put it on 15 and my dog never got any kind of signal. He just kept right on chasing whatever he was chasing. I can't use both vibrate and shock and when I try to hit the buttons, it's more trouble than training my dog! For what I paid for this piece of irritation, it's so not worth it.
