The hinges are the weak spot in this door. We have one dog a Labradoodle, and yes, she can be enthusiastic when she goes out. But this is the third door in 5 years and now the price has gone from $150 to $200. I cannot buy just a new hinge or even a new door with the hinges are attached. I have to buy the entire new door package and just use the hinge. What a waste of money. We haven’t used the collar fob for 4 years because it doesn’t work and the back of it falls off so you have to look for it in the yard. Read the other reviews and move on. I spoke with a very nice customer service person. Worked fine when I tested it before installing. After installing doesn't work at all. Have had to manually rotate hinge into unlocked position. If I wanted just a flap without the ability to lock it that is what I would have asked for. It’s been in use for 6 months and already broken. My dog walked in and the flap broke. I’m seeing a lot of complaints about that now. You cannot order a new flap so if it breaks then you’re out about 200 bucks.
