It seems to be working on my smaller dog, the only problem is, I went out looking for another collar in hopes of it coming with another charger. This one has batteries, which is fine but I have the older version (6ish years old) and I can’t find a replacement charger for it. I paid a lot of money for the collar and the collar still works great but I can’t use it without a charger. All the new ones seem to have a different port. Where the new ones look to have 2 prong ports and a single track for the charger to slide into. First, the tightness of the collar does not stay as fitted (either the dog can make it to big by scratching his neck or it just gets too loose). Secondly and more importantly, after a month of using the charger, it broke exactly like some previous reviews implied. Yes, I know how to make sure the charger is inserted in the right way, so that was not the issue. I think it would have worked, but before I could see results the charger broke off inside the device. I tried taking the collar apart, but it is really stuck in there. Then stopped working when she would bark, and would malfunction & shock her when she wasn’t making a sound. I have turned the collar off, and held the power button to reset it like the manual instructs, but it still wouldn’t work. The last time I tried to use it, it burned a hole in my pups neck. I absolutely do not recommend this collar. The price was too high for it to last only two weeks. I gave it a sho","text":"Recently moved into a new apt, got 2 calls in 1 day from my landlord about my dog howling, had to do something fast. Went and picked up this shock collar and it literally took the 3 minutes/15 barks to put an end to barking/howling. This product did not at all hurt my pet. The static impulse was simply a small nudge and only surprised my 9lb male Havanese and did not inflict any pain. It did seem to make my Havanese uncomfortable when wearing it as she's not used to wearing a bulky collar with such a little neck.
