Made from sturdy aluminum, not flimsy plastic. Both the white and red light modes have three different brightnesses. The brightest setting is very bright and I actually don’t see myself having to use that setting much. The light can be quickly removed from its mount and also used as a handheld light. \nI know it seems expensive, but good lights aren’t cheap. I’ve only used it a few times so I can’t say anything about longevity. The light illuminates great, but does not last long with our bike ride as a safety feature. We have not used it as a power bank.\nWe have the QuietKat Apex HD bikes with headlight and taillight power pigtail light plugs, but could not find the lights that plug in.
