I had been using a large Cabelas backpack that also had an extension to carry my bow/rifle and clothes. Great pack but I don't hunt out west much anymore and have way shorter walks to hunting locations. I wanted a ScentLok backpack to finish out my exterior clothing. This one is just the size I was wanting as I don't need to carry a lot of items with me. It was on sale so I bought it and glad I did. Has lots of storage inside so I will be adjusting the pack to how I want to store everything. I do saddle hunt and use a ring of steps along with treehopper bolts. My set up fits in this backpack. If you carry more items with you to your stand a bigger pack my be what you are looking for.
