At one point I owned the p938 extreme. I recently purchased this version of the p938 and, in my opinion, it’s far superior to the other models. The edges have been smoothed. The grips feel great, and I LOVE the magwell. I appreciate the front serrations on the slide, and the grippy texturing on the front and back of the grip, in addition to below the trigger guard. Trigger pull feels good. Surprisingly, the slide spring isn’t overwhelmingly strong, and it’s fairly each to rack the slide, especially compared to other compact pistols. The shooting experience for me was superior to what I expected, and the sights are really good. I fired a couple hundred rounds at 10 yards and had better-than-expected accuracy for an ultra compact pistol. I really appreciate that it comes with 3 mags. My only complaint is that this gun is prone to jam occasionally. It’s not a like a Glock, which can take a ton of abuse and still function flawlessly. This gun needs some love, and needs to be cleaned and lubed regularly. I think this gun is a great value at its current price, and a better value than the kimber equivalent or other similar gun models. I also really appreciate that it has an all-metal frame. I fell in love with how it felt in my hand. All the checkering on the frame and the aggressiveness of the grips gives you an extremely secure purchase on the pistol. The sights are great. They are very visible in all lighting situations and are very easy for your eye to pick up. On the range, this pistol really surprised me. Not only was it very accurate, but was fairly soft shooting for such a small 9mm. I found I could empty the magazine quickly and accurately at 7-10 yards. I have shot around 150-200 rounds of both 115 gr and 124 gr Winchester FMJ with Zero issues. I was deciding between the P938 Legion and a Kimber micro 9. Frame checkering, 3 mags, and great day/night tritium sights at the 700-750 price point made the Legion the clear choice. (before reviews) Fit in my hand (and pocket) perfectly. Gorgeous Legion \"Greyeenish\" finish, Xray sights and all metal parts had my attention. G10 Grips are amazing too! Read some not so great comments after purchasing it so I got nervous on my first trip to the range but I'm happy to report this micro performed flawlessly through 150 rounds! No ejection or loading problems. Accurate out of the box. Shot 115gn Blazer Brass and 147gn Sig FMJs. Really impressed with heavier loads, there was as much recoil as my 320. Performed so well! I'm so impressed with this outstanding pistol! Double feeds, failure to eject, not going into battery. Just all over the place, numerous failures per magazine. Tried all the magazines it came with.. \n\nAfter some research I found the guide rod could come unscrewed as it’s a 2 piece and that can cause issues. \n\nI tried to loctite the guide rod and took it back to the range. Reliability was much better but not great. I still get failures about 2-3 times out of 100 rounds which just isn’t good enough in today’s market. I still se failure to go into battery and get double feeds. Even after 400 or so rounds which is where I’m at now. \n\nAnother complaint, my safety sucks. It’s super super hard to click on. Not hard at all to take off. Which if I have to have it difficult to operate I would rather have a it hard to click on then off but it should just work.. I shouldn’t have to use both hands, grip both safeties on each side to click it on. I have tried taking it apart to see if anything looks dirty or gross but it’s fine. It’s been that way sense I got it. \n\nI am not a professional shooter, but experienced. I know my fundamentals and am not all over the controls causing malfunctions. My hand strength is fine, I don’t have issues with my parents 938 so what can I say. \n\nI also want to say the trigger is bad. It’s like 8lbs on a single action? My striker fire guns are hovering at 4.5? The only advantage to a single action only gun is supposed to be a good trigger so why would the choice be to have this one so heavy? All the folks saying this trigger is good I don’t understand. It’s totally useable but good is a serious stretch. \n\nI like the sites. Finish is good. It’s accurate if you do your job. \n\nBut for asking price of $700 it’s just not worth it. With a triggers that’s meh and reliability that’s not competitive I don’t really recommend it. I want to like this little gun because it’s a great size but I probably wouldn’t recommend it. My parents also have a 938 and its relatability seems to be great so I am sure I have a Lemon.
