At one time I thought it was impossible to exceed the Belgian Browning Hi Power\nfor controllability, reliability, etc. Deserving of its' rep for certain. Then read about the 220s' performance in I think it was \" World Survival Trials\" in the early 80s'. Bought one. Could not believe what I was holding in my hand. Everything the Browning\noffered in .45 caliber. Still unexcelled. I replaced the sights with XS big dot sights and the hammer and trigger. That was 32 years ago. When I was a kid, I'd pine after the Browning BDA, which was a Sig P220. So by the time I turned 21, I knew I'd have to have a P220 in .45 ACP (the Browning BDA was made in a few calibers initially). Mine is so old it's got stamped on it \"Made in W. Germany\"... note the \"W\". This older Sig P220 has been by my bedside for 32 years protecting my family. And I like it that way. I recently put 150 rounds through it and man it just shoots so good. \n\nA few years back, I bought a 2nd P220 in .45 ACP. I think it was 5 years ago I picked up this P220 Equinox. The finish is gorgeous. The sights? Crazy good. \n\nMaybe it's habit or maybe it's confidence. For a while there I had a Glock 30 in .45 ACP by my bedside. I wanted a light / laser combo for real night time use. My older P220 does not have a rail. I never felt good about that. I just don't shoot Glocks well and have sold the few I had in this recent \"gun run\". We sort of co-live in two places as the moment. So the P220 is back at my bedside in one home and the P320 X Carry (w/ a light / laser) at the other. I feel better. I sleep better. If i'm forced to choose just one Sig?
