I was bored and started to break the smaller branches to get them out of the way. The only cutting tool I had on me was my little SOG Instinct that I bought a few weeks ago, so I started carving away at the larger limbs so they were easier to break. I got down to a 7 inch limb and spent about 45 minutes carving, hacking, and swearing at it. That little SOG knife was a beast. I got to the point where I was using a rock on the butt to drive it deeper into the limb because after 2 hours, I was tired. The rock broke, but the knife kept going. I finally got 2/3 of the trail cleared for hikers and bikers, but it would not have been possible without the SOG Instinct. For $35 at Bass Pro, it has become one of the best knives I've ever had. I'm a SOG guy now! The screw that holds the clip on is always coming loose. I have to tighten it ever 2 or 3 days. I wear it on my belt so there's very little movement but probably just enough for it to back out. It makes the durable clip unusable after a few days due to the adjustable clip turning.
