I run hounds and they're hard on equipment. The first week I had it one dog broke the top off the black square plastic piece and it was hanging by the wires inside. I took it home, dried it off and sealed it back together with a bunch of Gorilla Glue and it's worked fine. Very easy to use system, If I could change one thing it would be make the numbers bigger on the screen on the handheld. I Have been a Loyal SportDog customer for many years. I got a new dog Pointer and she is a runner. So far, I have successfully tracked her at over 700 yards. The arrow tracking is pretty simply, but if i were to do it again, I would have gotten the 2.0. When you are used to GPS on your phone, the arrow takes some getting used to. The other thing is I don't need the variety of stimulation settings. All in all, this is a great collar when you compare the pricing to competitors. So bought this collar to be able to recover her. It worked a couple of times, but the third time, not so much. If you are serious about keeping your dog, and want an exact location, pay the extra and get a Garmin GPS collar. I have other SportDog items and have no complaints about the products as a whole. The collar sort of worked in that it gave a general area of last known location, but drove to it, and never got another update. So far it is goi g what I need it to. The screen is a little small for my 58 year old eyes, it would be nice if the text size could be increased a bit. The gps and training features work well. My biggest complaint is the collar at the buckle was assembled so that the rough edge is facing the dogs neck it should have been wrapped the other way so the “seam” is facing out and the smooth side of river heads should be against the neck of the dog. I had to add moleskin to the collar to keep it smooth. After a few miles of hunting it wore a hot spot on my dogs neck.
