I have put over 200 rounds through mine during four sessions at the range and not one malfunction using Winchester “white box” 115 grain ammo. Recoil is mild compared to a 1911 in 45ACP. Fit and finish is very good. Slide, frame, and barrel are tight enough to provide very good accuracy without compromising reliability.\nHere are some notes on issues other reviewers may have mention here or elsewhere:\n1. The grip panels did loosen up during my first range session. This is common with 1911-style handguns (This is a John Browning design too!). Since I have experience with this, I tightened the panel screws as if it were a 1911. The panels have stayed tight during the following three range sessions. If this happens to yours, don’t tighten the screws too much the first time or you may crack the wood panels. Tight enough is all you need.\n2. The barrel was wild for the first 30 rounds. I hit the paper once in 30 rounds at 10 yards. I just kept shooting, and a group developed. Accuracy has been improving as I push more rounds through it. \nSome guys at the club saw me shooting it. They were going to have a handgun match in about 40 minutes, and invited me to stay. I saw their handguns, and they were very high end. I suspect they were impressed by the group the SA-35 was giving me.\nIf you want one of these, go and ahead and get one! Very happy with the pistol. I'm not sure how SA could have made this pistol any better. I was surprised that it came with only one magazine. But I have already ordered a couple more. It is a joy to shoot. I have shot numerous brands with two bullet grains with no feeding issues. The gun is accurate. Recoil is no issue. I live in a smaller town and numerous friends were excited to shoot it. Unlike Patrick I do own this gun and love it. This is an updated version of the HI Power. Several upgrades were done to address previous shortcomings such as hammer bite. However it was the best in its day and they say was an immediate improvement on the 1911 at the time e.g the early 1930's. Cannot wait to get access to one.
