With the rising cost of \"good\" AA batteries, I bought this just to reduce the cost and waste but was a little skeptical about the battery life and the charging capabilities of the solar panel since it would be at the edge of the woods with limited light. I was greatly surprised to find that the combination of the solar panel and this rechargeable battery I didn't have to change, recharge or touch this camera for the entire season.
