Got my money back today, before leaving the store with the tool, after an extremely disappointing and unnecessarily complicated sales experience.\nFirst, went to buy it online on Halloween, the last day of one of their rare and lightly publicized sales. The Stihl site sent me to a local rep, where I tried to buy it at the sale price. The site originally displayed the sale price, but when I went to my cart, it claimed the item, originally shown as being in stock, was not in stock. A few minutes later (still on ostensibly the last day of the sale), when I went back to the site for another reason, it showed (magically!) the item was again in stock, but not at the sale price. \nAbout a week later, I managed to find a smaller discount that the site (eventually) let me use, so I went ahead and paid for the item. The next day, I was told by the dealer that there could be a delay in picking it up, because they have to unbox it and run it first (???!!!) Then I was told I would need to complete the warranty info at the store before I could take it. (another head-scratcher). \nI went down there today to pick it up and spent, all told, about 40 minutes, only to leave without the blower/vac. After entering the warranty info (and not seeing an option for them to not sell my info, yet another indignity), I was instructed to leave the store and drive around to the back to pick up the item, because it had gas in it and no one is allowed to walk through the store with a tool that has gas in it. It came with no box, just assembled, with a bunch of unidentified stuff in the vac bag. I asked the guy to just empty the gas out. He said he didn't know how. \nThat was enough. I'd gone through no sale price, no box, no guarantee that all the parts were there, and no chance to remove the gas in the tool. I decided to get my money back and leave. \nThe dealer then dutifully rang up my return. I was about to insert my card for the credit when I noticed that the $25 in tax I had paid had been excluded from the return. Took them 20 minutes to figure out how to include the tax. \nI can't speak to the quality of the product because the process to purchase the product was so ridiculous I don't have confidence that the people who created that process could be trusted to stand by their warranty if anything went wrong. The Stihl does both jobs very well. I can now blow all the leaves into one pile and with the METAL shredding blade it reduces the pile significantly. The old shedder/vac had a plastic blade and did a poor job.\r\nAs you can see in the photo I love Stihl equipment.
