If the Oiler holes and chain track of the bar is cleaned regularly, allowing the oil to circulate, it will reduce friction and prevent the bar and chain from premature wear. \r\nThis is the tackiest oil that I have ever used. I have been afield cutting and had to borrow oil from another cutter on occasion. The fire camps have been resupplying us with this oil and it’s far too thin and watery; our saws run incredibly hot with it. The chain stretches to the point we are breaking links. \r\nThe description on this oil needs to identify itself as “not for pro saws” so that we stop getting it given to us.
