Particularly since I compared them to similar ones from OR (who really seem to have cornered the market on the production of a mitten like this). The cuff is a bit too short to use for technical ice climbing, or even mountaineering - their shortness permits snow intrusion if you're digging a snow shelter or hacking into ice with your climbing tools. A bit more fill would've made these an excellent snowshoeing or ski glove, but there are just a few shortfalls in this particular design.
