The ability to hang upside down from my knees is a unique way to decompress the spine and lower back and is much more effective than inversion tables or inversion boots, which mostly put strain on the ankles. Plus it offers the ability to also strengthen the lower back with back extension exercises and upper body with dips. It really gives your lower lumbar area a wonderful stretch. Plus, you can strengthen your lower back by then raising your trunk back up. It’s a great machine. It allows you to invert, which really decompresses your entire spine, not just your lower lumbar. It even loosens your neck up. I would highly recommend it. I recently had surgery on my lumbar spine and have had to stop using this for the last six weeks. The inversion table was great but this is better and here is why. Having my hips locked in place while hanging I can really feel the lower back being stretched and for me that is great. Now, before I start my morning workout I use the Teeter but after my workout I use it again and I always feel a better stretch and even some adjustments in my middle and upper back. I also twist and pop my back along with reaching and grabbing the lower bar and pulling myself to extend my spine even more. Totally worth the investment.
