I went to multiple places asking what the solution and all I received was to purchase a new cross bow. As you know, the Shadow NXT—produced for only one year—originally came with three Pro Elite 400 bolts. I later purchased an additional six Pro Elite 400 bolts with lighted nocks specifically for target practice.\r\n\r\nThis year, I needed to replace several of those bolts due to damage and bought another six Pro Elite 400s. I was surprised to find that not only had the lighted nock design changed, but the price had increased dramatically—$79.99 for just three bolts at a .003 straightness tolerance is, quite frankly, excessive.\r\n\r\nWhile I haven’t had any performance issues with the bolts themselves, the cost and changes in design have led me to reconsider future purchases. I lost an arrow while sighting in the bow, so I bought some Lighted Alpha-Blaze Pro Elite 400 Carbon arrows. I was fortunate to shoot a nice 8 point buck at day break and sure enough...lost that arrow as well...even though it has a lighted nock. While looking for it, I actually found my practice arrow I lost while sighting in the bow, but couldn't find the lighted arrow. I’ve taken deer in the rain and snow and the arrows flew true. They also hold\r\nUp. I’ve reused the same arrow for multiple deer before needing to use a new arrow. That is unheard of in today’s day and age as far as reliability.
