Best decision ever! Did not attach the induction top as I wanted to keep the look slick and did not need it installed in a counter top. The PDF file you can request from Traeger assists with the built in install if needed. Traeger support is awesome with answering any questions you might have. \nThe XL keeps all the drippings inside the cabinet to prevent a future mess. Super smoke is amazing!! Looks neat and tidy which compliments a modern outdoor kitchen look. Huge cooking capacity so you can smoke large meals for many people. In addition, the added perks of the pallet sensor, meat thermometer, and extra storage makes this an awesome buy ! Cleaning was easy, watched a couple tutorials and used the Traeger cleaning products ! \nMy only complaint would be having to buy the cover separately after spending the amount it cost for this big boy. Finally bought it 6 weeks ago. Total Junk. WiFi/app connectivity is a total and nonstop hassle. Like setting it up for the first time every time you use it. Tech support sucks and blames it on your ISP. No other device requires the amount of special configuration of your network/router as this peice of cr@p does. Have spent hours and hours troubleshooting this thing. And that’s before we’re even smoking. Doesn’t provide enough smoke to be a decent smoker and doesn’t provide enough heat to be a real grill. Large capacity with ease of use. The smoke rings it generated were impressive. Set up and assembly instructions were easy to follow. The best feature is the conduction cooktop. To reverse sear with my Timberline 850, I had to put in the in searing plates, crank up the temp to 500 degrees and wait. This added almost an hour to my cooks. Now with my conduction cooktop and a ribbed cast iron skillet, I can sear the steaks as they reach internal temp. Cleaning the XL is still a chore. The disadvantage of such a large cook space. But it is easier overall than my 850. Handling pellets is much easier. Just put the container under the hopper and it empties directly in. My only criticism is the included Meater Wireless Thermometers. I’ve used Meater Thermometers for a long time and using them only to monitor internal temperature sells them short. I have been a loyal trigger customer for about 15 years now and decided to buy the top-of-the-line timberline grill. Rust had occurred in the barrel of the grill and they required a full replacement. They said that that was not covered under warranty and that basically they’re doing nothing about it I would not recommend Traeger. They do not stand behind their product. Please beware before buying. I don’t know what happened to their customer service but over the years they have really dropped off.
