{"reviews":[{"id":7371785,"locale":"en_US","rating":5,"title":"Great E-Mtn Bike!","text":"I bought this Trek Marlin+6 for my wife. she is very petit and wanted a 50# bike, not one of the 70+# behemoths.\nThis is a lovely bike, well-powered and reliable.\nSome dislikes: the Bosch display is very small and hard to read in the sun. A bigger display is needed and I do not want to spend $200 for the larger accessory one. \nThe XT-3 tires are a disappointment. We live in Utah and there's lots of goat head thorns and small gravel that gets picked up in the tred. Knowing what I know now, I should have asked for better tires from the start. She really enjoys single track and gravel riding. The bike only weighs approximately 43kg compared to the step-through monstrosities weighing 34kg or more.\nSome comments are in order:\nThe XT-3 tires are a poor choice for use in Utah. The center tire tred catches all sorts of thorns and small gravel pieces. There are better choices out there for tire tred designs that do not contribute to flats. We have added Kevlar inner belts and thicker tubes, but a better tred design is needed.\nThe Bosch graphic display is tiny and very hard to read in the sun. A larger display is needed with colors of the various power modes.
