Not worth the price","text":"6 months in, works great as a safe but that's about where it stops.\nThis iteration of Vaulteks app is garbage. Tampering alarms aren't pushed to your phone, you have to actively go pull them. No web notifications (so you have to be in Bluetooth range to figure out if your gun safe is open). I have had constant connectivity problems where the app could not find the safe.\nThe wireless charger, if you are lucky enough to hit the sweet spot where it will charge your phone, will randomly stop working. Also if you have the sound on, it will beep every time it connects and disconnects with the phone (my charger will go at a 1hz cycle on that), so now I leave the safe on silent.\nFingerprint scanner works decently and can do successive reads well if the first one fails.\n\nBeing that 80%of the price is in \"the tech\", they have failed miserably with this product. New versions of the slider appear to have a better app, and don't have the failed fluff features this safe has. Blends well.","text":"Great unit. Easy set-up. Smooth and quiet operation. Built like a tank. Got mine in Alpine White to match the furniture. Blends seamlessly with bedroom decor. The tether could be longer, as the 4ft length is not enough to reach my bed frame, which would be a better option than securing to a nightstand. I’ll have to drill a hole under my nightstand to make it work - all for a bit of added security (Really if someone wanted to take it, they still could. It would just take some extra time and effort). I suppose I could add a mount, but that would take away from its unassuming appearance. Also, the phone charger works but is almost impossible to locate in low light as the phone must sit in a very specific position for the safe to recognize and begin the charge. The price is also a bit steep. Hence the 4 stars. Those are the only cons I can think of. Otherwise, this thing is a solid investment and very satisfying to use on a daily basis.
