The pass through sound mode brings conversations to normal talking level, but dampens sound while shooting. What I like most about the earbuds is that you don't get ear fatigue or head pressure you get from headphones, they also don't get in the way while shooting rifles. One quibble is switching back-and-forth between full soundproofing and the “pass through“ option where it allows ambient sound, is not quick or intuitive. It involves tapping the earbud and waiting for the “pass through“ notification to sound. Even once that sounds, it seems like it takes a minute or two for the earbuds to catch up with your desired setting. Once the ambient sound mode is in play, it is easy to control the volume on the app. I’ve also noticed some charging issues with the left earbud. Have to constantly pull out my phone and adjust the settings, reconnect, etc. Especially annoying that the touch controls on the ear buds can't be disabled. End up with having to use my phone to setup the ear buds, adjust volume then they start playing music anytime a little sweat drips off my hat.\n\nUpdate the firmware. Make it so you setup the options and volume through your phone and include an option to disable touch control.
