It was 24 degrees and dark and I did a little over 8 miles. I wore a base long-sleeve shirt and the thermal hoodie and was comfortable the entire run. I wore the thermal tights as well. The watch notch and hand covers are amazing and I wore the hood the entire run. No wind got inside the hood, it stayed in place throughout, and didn’t rub. I was warm without bulk which is really nice. I’m 5’4” and 135 lbs. I bought a medium but I’m going to try a small too just to see if I like it snugger. I’m really impressed with how comfortable and functional this hoodie is. I’m 45 with 3 kids and I run when I can, not when temps or weather is good. I feel really confident heading into winter runs that my training for the spring race will be comfortable. It's the perfect weight for outdoor runs, warm enough for crisp mornings, but light and breathable so I don’t overheat once I get moving. The fabric is soft but doesn't feel soaked and heavy when I sweat. \nOne of my favorite features is the watch window on the sleeve. It’s such a simple detail, but it makes checking my pace mid-run so much easier without having to pull my sleeve up every few minutes.\nI’m between an XS and S normally and went with the size small. It’s comfortably roomy without feeling baggy or bulky and is fitted enough to look sleek but not so tight that I feel squeezed. The sleeves are a little long so I find it more comfortable to fold the ends up rather than using the thumb holes when I run. \nThe fabric is soft, cozy, and holds up beautifully after multiple washes. Overall, it’s one of those versatile layers that just seems to work. It's a really nice material especially inside where it's soft but not fuzzy enough to add to absorb sweat. The style is fitted but true to size - I usually wear a medium to large top and this medium was form-fitting on me. I may consider sizing up if you want to wear more layers underneath. The jacket alone is perfect for cooler weather runs with a base layer but probably not enough for cold cold runs. I like the high neck zipper to keep my neck warm and to keep the hood up. Plus the sleeves fold over for built-in mittens! For added safety in the dark, there is a small reflective logo on the chest, and two reflective stripes on the back. As the weather is cooling down and I can now increase my daily work out and running, the hoodie keeps me warm and comfortable. The fabric is true to size, has a great style and fit. It not only looks really smart but also keeps my skin protected from tanning in the day time and warm in the cooler evenings. The thumb holes are very convenient to keep the sleeves in place, slipping on my palms or moving up. It’s a great idea to include those in the design. The hoodie is has a reflective trim on the back which allows visibility at night thereby keeping me safe. I also noticed that even though I did walking and running with the hoodie on, there was no odor. The antibacterial treatment works wonders for those who love strenuous exercises. I also like the fact that even after several washes the fabric quality has remained intact. Overall, a great hoodie top with innovative features, smart, stylish design and very smart fit.
