This winter I purchased a dark red XL and am absolutely in love with it but the left pocket ripped in the first five minutes I had it on and I would’ve exchanged it immediately, but it is right in the prime of the holidays. I like the color and the fit. It seems quite warm too. I am 5'8\" and 150lbs, I bought a M. It fits well but is a bit snug if I wear layers beneath it. If youre a lady who likes to wear fluffy sweaters or many layers in the winter I would order 1 size up. I also didnt realize the zipper is two way, it begins to undo itself from the bottom if you do not use the snap buttons. I was perfectly comfortable!! What a great jacket! While I'm not crazy about the look of the shiny silver inner lining, it does seem to retain warmth without feeling overheated. Also, I love the pockets. Several reviewers said they would prefer the convenience of side pockets but I found the upright pockets are better at keeping things (like keys, phone, doggie bags, etc) from falling out while walking. Also, the upper hidden chest pocket is a bonus. I'm 5'5\", 135 lbs and bought a size L jacket. Fits just fine with a heavy sweater or a couple of lighter layers underneath. If you live in a cold climate, I highly recommend it for the warmth. I wanted something that was a little longer to cover my back side but that also had a two-way zipper I live in the ever ned to use the northeast and never nee o put the seat warmer on in my car. I love the fact that it reflects your body heat. I hav gotten a li of compliments on it and people love the “sparkle” of the inside. I’ve been toying with the idea of taking a trip to see the European Christmas markets in the next coupons of years but didn’t think I’d ever be warm enough. It kept getting jammed. The last 4 weeks I was able to wear the jacket, I didn't feel like it kept me warm either. I live in the northeast, and so far winter has been mild. My similar Abercrombie parka keeps me much warmer. But I’ve wanted a longer jacket for awhile. I’ve always loved Columbia. I like the style of this jacket, so I got one. The description isn’t lying when it says long- it goes to my knees. The dual zipper is great and the snaps are sturdy. The hood wuth the fur covers most of my face, but if I remove the fur, it’s perfect. I tried it on inside my house and didn’t want to take it off, it was so warm. It could definitely fit over a sweatshirt well.
