Moving from south central Florida to north central Michigan such foot wear would be and are essential. Boots worked great for us when temps hit freezing down to -30. My wife was experiencing a struggle to remove the mid-calf. Bought her the ankle version and she is grateful with no issues on or off. They fit great with a warm pair of socks and keep my feet warm in 20 degree weather. I always add a new arch support insole to all of my muck boots. I would give them 5 Stars for fit and usefulness. The traction is great for my use. I can not evaluate how they wear as I have only had them a short time. My other Muckster Ankle boots have lasted over 6 years with every weekend use and are finally wearing out. \n\nMy 3 star is based only on color. I have been waiting for this olive/brown/orange colorway to be back in stock as for several months. They finally were but when they arrived the color was so much different than the picture. Very dark and the sole is not orange but a muddy tan. All other boots I have ordered from Muck Boot Company have been very similar to the picture on line. Sadly I'm sending them back - not for fit but color.
