They were my first pair of non water proof boots and while I don’t like having wet feet, they dried fast. The shoes I had been wearing (Hoka speedgoat 4) changed to a different version and did not work for me so I had to find something else. I did a lot of research. I tried these on and finally decided to go with these. They have some definite strengths. They have great grip. They did great at giving me good ankle support and my feet did not slip around in the shoe. I have very narrow feet and they fit my feet well. The big con for me is they did not give good cushion to the bottom of my feet. The bottom of my feet just ached after 6 or so miles a day. By 8 miles I could hardly walk the bottoms of my feet hurt so bad. I never had that with my previous shoes. I could regularly backpack 12-15 miles per day with no feet pain. I backpacked 6 days and 70 miles and the bottoms of my feet ached/throbbed every afternoon until we stopped for the day. I do like the looks of the shoe and like the grip but the feet fatigue and pain was too much.
