I ordered my true size 8 and it felt comfortable without socks (that's how I plan to wear it most of the time). I do think you could wear them with a thin type of sock as well. There is a little heel slip but nothing noticeable. I think the 7.5 would have been too small for me. The shoe material is flexible so there will be visible creasing across the top so just be aware if this is something that bothers you. I like that the Loraine is essentially an effortless, structured flat that elevates an outfit. I think the almond toe gives it more of a feminine look compared to penny loafers. I wear mine with slacks, palazzo type pants, and jeans. I got my pair on sale for $104 and I think it's fine for the price. Had really high hopes. I got my normal size 6.5. Looked nice, length was good, but the instep of the shoes was too stiff and almost too tight. I tried to walk around the house in them and it was constantly pressing against my feet. I wish the leather would have been softer. Wildly comfy, cute, well-crafted, durable and perfect for work. They didn't take any time to 'break in' and were immediately comfortable. So, since I loved my first pair so much, I recently bought another pair in black. I'm super disappointed in how cheap the material feels, and how crazy uncomfortable they are. I got blisters on the back of my heels the first day I wore them, and I'm afraid at this point they'll just sit in the back of my closet because I don't want to risk the pain again. I was looking for work formal appropriate shoes that are also comfortable to walk around in all day.\n\nTo start with the pros, these are so pretty and can be worn for professional work settings and more casually depending on the overall outfit. I have a pretty wide foot and usually size up to an 8.5 in other dress shoes but goes these in an 8 based on reviews and it fit great. I’m also pretty tall and don’t love to always wear a high heel so the low heels on these were great. The material is great as I can simply wipe it clean.\n\nNow I wore these all day during a work trip and ended up buying sneakers. The way the shoe folds at the toes caused the end of the shoe to bend into my pinkie toe, if that makes sense. It doesn’t hurt at first but repeatedly impacting my pinkie toe all day caused blistering and bruising. I have never experienced this with another shoe before. If I were to have sized up, the shoe would have kept slipping off so I don’t think sizing was the issue. This shoe is fine to wear for if you won’t be walking a lot or for brief outings.
