Really warm and the elastic waistline adjustments with velcro are great to prevent gaping at the back and to get a good fit at the waist. Zipper pocket on one thigh is great for important items. I was surprised to find zippers at the middle thighs (towards the crotch) that open to an expanding black mesh pocket- I guess for ventilation, but I haven't had to use that feature. I hope with repeated use that those zippers don't rub or cause a breakdown of those seams of the middle thighs. Only time will tell.
