I’ve worked in industrial plants and new construction environments for nearly 10 years, and finding truly comfortable, professional safety footwear has always been a challenge. Men’s safety shoes never fit me correctly, and my role often requires transitioning quickly from meeting with high-level customers in an office to climbing through an active refinery.\r\n\r\nThese shoes strike that balance perfectly. They are extremely comfortable, meet the strict PPE requirements I work under, and still look polished and professional. I’ve personally tested the steel toe in real-world conditions (thankfully without injury), and the shoes have consistently performed as intended. They do their job 100% and keep my toes safe and are super comfortable. I just find it hard to keep the leather on them looking nice. \r\nMy first pair lasted 2 years. These are my second pair and I kid you not I damaged the leather on the first day I wore them to work. I am normally in an office environment, but needed steel toe boots for a week doing assembly training. I went from sitting most of my day to standing 10+ hours. I also didn't have time to break boots in. \r\n\r\nThe arch support and cushion near the heel are fantastic. My feet and knees felt good at the end of the day, and I had no blisters. I liked having the side zipper for getting them on/off easily, but also having the laces for adjustability. They looked good too, and I can see myself wearing them outside a safety toe environment. They were in desperate need for some real, durable-but-cute work boots. I tried looking thru several other top-of-the-line brands (Timberland, Carhartt, Wolverine) but my love has a specific sense of style and none of them were what she wanted. Enter, Xena! When I found this brand, I was shocked at the quality to price ratio. Competitively priced, but with a really sleek, unique look. We went with the Spice EH Safety Boot. When the boots arrived, there was a slight imperfection (one of the steel toes was at a slight but noticeable slant) and Ash was disappointed, but when I asked if we could send them back and try another pair, the Xena team's response was quick and reasonable. The new boots have barely left Ash's feet! They look so cute and we LOVE that Xena is woman-owned and doesn't sacrifice comfort or style for durability. So far (2 months later) after using them every day for hours, these boots haven't worn out nearly as quickly as my Timbs did when I got them new back in 2018 and was using them the same amount.\r\n\r\nCannot recommend Xena enough--I've been telling all my homegirls about them and will continue to!
