A match between these delectable cups and your taste buds. They are perfect for kicking back in your lawn chair next to your tailgate with a bacon cup in one hand and your favorite cold drink in the other! The only problem is… they might not make it to kickoff!
Ingredients
- 3 lbs of premade mac and cheese
- 24 strips of bacon
- 8 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cups of whole milk
- 1/2 cup pepper jack
- 1/2 cup gouda
- 1/2 cup parmesan
- 1/4 cup mozzarella
- Sucklebusters Hog Waller Rub
Instructions
- Cook the mac and cheese beforehand and set the grill/smoker to 350 degrees cooking temperature.
- Then, place the muffin tin face down on the counter (bottom side up), and use two pieces of bacon per bowl. Cut one strip in half and place it like an “X” over the cup. Wrap the second whole slice around the side of the cup, overlapping the ends. Repeat with remaining bacon strips until finished (12 total).
- Place in the grill/smoker and cook for 45-55 minutes or until bacon is cooked thoroughly but not crisp
- While the bacon is cooking, take the pre-cooked mac and cheese and add ½ cup milk.
- Then grate the pepper jack, gouda, parmesan, and mozzarella cheese and mix them into the mac and cheese.
- Once the bacon is done, remove it from the grill, let it cool, and then carefully remove bacon cups from the pan
- Flip the muffin tin right-side up, then assemble the bacon cups. Place the bacon in the tin and add the mac n’ cheese.
- Then, sprinkle on Sucklebusters Hog Waller Rub to top it off!
- Bake for another 20-30 minutes or until hot.
- Remove from the grill and try to eat just one…. Good luck!
