Nice pants. They’re very comfortable and fit very well. I love the little bit of insulation they have and they keep me warm in freezing when paired with a heavy weight base layer pant inside my insulated breathable waders. Although they are not the absolute warmest wader pants out there, but I give that up for the durable shell of these pants which looks nice and works well for an outer layer on not so brutal field and dry land hunts. Only real gripe is for me they run a touch long in the inseam compared to other Sitka pants.
I’ve had these for 6 months or so, live in Michigan so it gets relatively cold. These pants are awesome, warm and comfortable. They are expensive but by far my favorite pants. If you spend a lot of time outside they are unbeatable.
These pants are awesome. There is a lot of thought put into the construction of these from the thigh pockets to the knife pocket. I'm super short so they were really long until I had them hemmed, but that's to be expected for me.
Not what I was expecting. They are actually really thick I bought these for multiple uses when deer hunting and waterfowl. I have 34 waste I'm 5'6 they were extremely too long. And quite noisy but not as bad as some nomad pants I already had. Immediately put them on when I got them as I'm always excited to get new gear and they were too warm if I wanted them to be this thick and heavy I would've purchased bibs. I like the solid pants. I returned this product. I understand the layering process but here in Texas I won't have much of use for it. I plan to use base layers and will exchange for the grinder pants instead. On bright side the vents are amazing but still not enough for me. They are super soft and comfortable as I've found with most sitka products are. However they are thick but they are NOT bulky.
Awesome pants but after purchasing the Dakota vest first, then the Dakota jacket, I really expected the Dakota pants to also come with goretex infinium windstopper. Looking back I now see that it not a feature on these pants but I wish they did. Still great product, just got them so we’ll se how they do in the field.
There may not be a better all around pant out there! The soft fleece lining makes these more comfortable than your favorite flannel, lounge around the lodge pants. These are great under the waders during mid season. Enough to keep you warm, while providing soft comfort. Just as I do with the Grinder Pant, I wear the Dakota Pant (in Mud) all Fall and Winter; for dog training and trips to town. However, they have quickly become my favorite pant for laying round the house on a lazy afternoon as well. The Dakota Pant; fits right, moves well and is flat comfortable!
Great pants for warmth and comfort. Awesome for waterfowl hunting. I need these in subalpine for Turkey and deer here in the midwest. Let’s get on it!!!!
