Everything about this jacket is what I was looking for. However, the jacket runs a whole size smaller. I'm usually a small, and I had to move up to a medium for the same fit. Otherwise, it's as amazing as I wanted.
Have worn this jacket everyday for the past two weeks since receiving it. Super warm and cozy on the inside, while looking classy on the outside. I have had multiple compliments on it since wearing it as well.
I own a pair of Kuhl pants and a swimsuit, and I'm reasonably satisfied with those items. But this is the second year in a row I've had to return a Kuhl jacket. Last year it was the Arktik, and the wonky fit. This year, I was pretty happy with my fleece lined Kollusion for about a week, and one of the cuff buttons just popped off out of nowhere, and it wasn't even the one I ever use. For a $200 jacket, this is an inexcusable QA matter. I like the Kuhl brand a lot. Love the designs and the aesthetic generally, and also how the copy on this site helps customers differentiate between similar products. That's not something a lot of brands put much into. All told, kinda bummed that my outerwear saga continues sans a very cool Kuhl jacket. Had my eye on a Spyfire hoodie, but likely won't be risking the disappointment again.
This jacket looks great and is very warm, somewhere in between an uninsulated softshell and a heavy down jacket. I love the supersoft fleece lining in the body, and the smooth nylon lining in the sleeves that allows you to easily get in on over a long-sleeved shirt. I also like the zipper of this jacket as opposed to the buttons of the standard noninsulated Kollusion jacket. This jacket is perfect for all but the coldest days in Albuquerque, where winter average highs are in the mid 40s and lows are in the low 20s. It kept me warm today while walking to lunch when it was windy with temperatures in the 30s, with just a flannel shirt underneath. It is very warm if you wear a fleece pullover underneath, almost as warm as a heavy down jacket. I am 5' 11" and 210 lb. with an athletic build, and the XL fits me perfectly. My only recommendation to Kuhl is to provide insulation in the outer pockets, as my hands often get cold, especially in the wind. The soft fleece used in the body would be a great liner, but anything would help. In summary, I really love this jacket, and highly recommend it.
The Fleece Lined Kollusion is a fantastic mid weight winter jacket. I needed a more durable “around town” option for my every day jacket and this one fits the bill very nicely. I’ll be testing out the limits of its warmth this weekend with a mountain snow shoeing trip. Note that the cut is “athletic”, so size up if you like a little extra room for a sweater beneath.
This is the second Kollusion jacket I’ve purchased. I Love them! This fleece lined version is super warm, I just wore it up north in 25-30 degree weather and I was totally warm the entire trip. I can’t recommend this jacket enough! I even got compliments at the airport.
Live in Boston and it gets cold, snowy, and icy. Add some gale force winds and you need something that handles that without being over bulky. This jacked is just about perfect. The fleece lining is warm without overheating when walking around the city. The insulated sleeves are fully articulated and are not fleece lined meaning they are warm but you can slide in and out of this coat with no 'gripping' on the sleeves. The material is excellent for wind and water resistance. The inner and outer storm flaps mean wind is no issue. I was really impressed with the hood. fleece lined and 'tailored' in a way that it doesn't have or need the draw strings. It just fits and sits perfectly on the ol noggin. When fully zipped you get that 'scarf' effect keeping the neck and lower face warm. Like most Kuhl products they run a little on the smaller side. I'm typically a large on most coats but ride right on the cusp at 6'3" and 205 lbs. For this jacked XL was a perfect fit with enough room to layer if needed. Kuhl really scratched a lot of winter 'itches' with this jacket and I highly recommend it!
I have a problem, I love jackets! I have so many my wife has threatened me! Bought the FLEECE LINED KOLLUSION™ today, it's easily my favorite. Runs a little smaller than normal, so choose a size bigger than you would normally. You will not be disappointed with this jacket!
Great jacket, I took it hunting in South Dakota and didn't feel any wind. The only reason for the 4 stares is the pockets are very thin on the outside so they aren't nearly as warm as the rest of the coat.
Great jacket Kuhl. I own 6 other jackets of your for various weather conditions. I live in the pacific NW and this one hits the bullseye for being that fall, winter, early spring 40s-low 50s weather with some wind or rain. Doesn't matter. I'm comfy warm protected. Love the soft inside fleece on this one. I've got the Kollusion unlined which I love for a light layer. I tried the lined Kollusion but passed on on it because it seemed boxy and needed a hood. Then bingo, you came out with this fleece version. Just what the doctor ordered!
I am a female and I absolutely love it! It's definitely a mans coat, so guys, don't get thrown off! Initially I liked it because it had a basic look to it and it seemed very comfortable. I've been wearing it for 5 months now and It turns out, this might be the best jacket I've ever owned! It's super comfortable, light but very warm and really durable. My daughter is bugging me to get her one!
I am thrilled with my new Kull fleece jacket!! The colour, comfort, its many pockets, rain & wind resistance are incredible! I ordered a large & for the most part it fits well except I anticipated more space in the stomach area. I am certain to get many years of we’re & year in the jacket !!👍🏼👍🏼
What a amazing jacket, it is stylish yet warm. I do not normally write reviews but after picking up this jacket during a local snowstorm in Seattle, I will definitely be back to buy more KÜHL products. I am 5'11" and 185lbs I ended up getting a XL just so I could have room to layer. It does run snug though a L would of been fine too.
The Kollusion Fleeced jacket is quickly becoming my favorite jacket. Jacket has a slightly athletic fit but still leaves enough room for layering. I’m 6 feet, 195 pounds and the large fits perfect. I bought the camo print and was originally concerned the camo print might be to loud, the photo was difficult to tell how loud the print was. After receiving it though I was very pleased. The camo print is very subdued, you really need to be up close to notice it. Wore it for a week and everyone one was complimented me on the jacket. Excellent job Kuhl! Love all your products.
Jacket overall is simply top notch! From the quality to fit of the jacket. I’m 5’10 195lbs and ordered the Large from the recommendation of the website. I even called kuhl’s customer service to ask about sizing and she said that this particular jacket fits snug (which was true). The fleeced hood is a huge plus for me and adds functionality to the jacket. The only reason I docked this jacket a star is because the olive camo jacket on the website does not give accurate description of what you get once you receive the jacket. Jacket color is off and so is the color of the thread accents. In addition the picture doesn’t show you what camo pattern is printed on the jacket. Hope this review helps anybody looking to buy this jacket! Stay Kuhl! Lol
Wow....wow....wow I love my normal Kuhl Kollusion coats, I have three in different colors, they are light weight yet warm. They are perfect for shedding a little water from that late afternoon rain shower. But man oh man the new fleece lined kollusion is the above on steroids. So soft and warm on the inside and rain proof to boot. Now my fav coats are year round. And did I mention how stylish they are? I'm always getting compliments; 'Hey that's a cool coat!' Lol...;o)). Yep all the way around. It's Kuhl!!
