Don’t like the canvas material. It’s slow to put through, or remove from, the pant belt loops. I prefer a leather belt because leather slides on and off my pants easier and faster. The plastic buckle should help getting through airport, but doesn’t since they still ask everybody to remove their belts. I would suggest that Kuhl sell a thin (in thickness) leather that is a wide (or slightly wider) as this model for hikers; I would consider buying.
Fit and finish are fine, but if you’re working in trades with these (and wearing the law pants, for instance) they don’t hold up well. Especially if your clipping/hanging gear off your belt. Will get soft and stuff won’t stay in place. Fine for casual wear though.
Buckle material & design is stout and mechanism has solid feel. Belt material very good. But didnt sit flush against my waist. Like the fit, feel, & function, but not the sticking out buckle part....go for the plastic version instead
This is a great heavy duty, durable belt. Excellent for outdoor pursuits. I’d give it 5 stars for what it is, but actually gave it only 4 stars due to what it could be - lighter. The clasp is heavy and if you’re shaving ounces in your equipment, why would you add them back in your belt clasp. I would have thought that there is durable lighter materials out there.
This is a sturdy belt of medium weight that is a big improvement over Kuhl's earlier one with the metal Kuhl logo. Still it needs — and lacks — a loop to restrain the excess material that flops around on the left side.
The 3D curved webbing on this belt is for real. The belt does not slide down my hips. Keeps my pants right above my hips all day like a belt should but most others do not. Great belt. It also looks really rugged and therefore cool.
This belt is almost there. Nice design, but lacks substance. The belt feels like a cheap piece of nylon webbing hooked to a nice buckle. It just needs more structure to the webbing. Stiffer design on the webbing and some velcro or something to hold the tail end of the adjustment end against itself.
These belts are light weight, sturdy and simple. I love the adjustable cinch on the fly. The buckle is industrial grade steel but it doesn’t feel heavy and doesn’t sit in my lap awkwardly. I love it. I have both black and brown.
This is another great product from Kuhl. The belt has a slight curve in the webbing which is a more natural fit than just a straight belt. I do wish that it was a bit wider maybe 1.75" or 2". The narrow belts aren't very good for any load bearing but overall I am pleased and have also purchased the black version. I bought a medium for a 34" waist and it is rather long but I trimmed it and burned the end to prevent fraying.
I bought 4 belts. 2 for myself and 2 as gifts for both of my managers. I love the design, and the pre shaped belt; however, the buckle design is NOT comfortable when sitting. The points of the buckel release stabs me in the stomach every time I sit down.
A typical good quality leather belt will last me about 2 years. I've had this Kuhl one for the last couple of week its already held up to few days in the backcountry snowboarding hiking and snow shoeing. Been wearing it casually since the trip. It's been great well see if it out lasts the 2 years of a normal belt at this rate it should
The Kuhl raid belt fits true to size. I'm 5"7 152 Lbs and have a 31 inch waste. I got the small size. It looks great on the Ryder pants. Easy on and easy off. Easily adjustable. Just another great Kuhl product.
My son is very active and being military appreciates tactical gear. He loves the buckle, overall quality and ease of use of his new belt to go with his Kuhl pants and jacket. I am now excited about items for myself.
The fabric used for the belt is thin. Might be fine if you looking for thin flimsy belt but I was expecting something more sturdy. Also, there is no keeper for the adjustment end so your going to end up reversing the buckle and have to tuck it in. Buckle looks awesome but you can tell it's pot metal and won't hold any serious weight. Other than that, fashion wise it's ok, I just had higher expectations.
