Just bought a weed eater and drill set. I got an additional battery a CP2.0. I got it home and tried to charge and got the red and green light flashing. Look up on the internet what to do and tried over and over again to seat the battery in the charger and it would start a charge. So I took it back to the store and exchanged it thinking it was a bad one but to my dismay I got the new home and same thing happened. I have two chargers and it doesn't work in either one. I think I may have made the wrong decision choosing Milwaukee Tools. It might be a good battery if it would take a charge. If I could give it a zero I would. My kit also came with an XC 4.0 battery. The CP 2.0 is terrible! It clearly does not sit well on the charger, which I suspect is why so many others, like me, get the flashing red and green. It's does NOT \"click\" into the base when you put it on the charger. The XC battery slides on, and you can feel it secure into place, no issues charging. I feel like over time, repeated charges will actually damage this CP battery. There is definitely a manufacturing issue with this one. I just bought my kit yesterday! Would've been happier to have received blades for the reciprocating saw in the kit, than this poorly made battery. I bought the drill driver set new and only used the drill maybe a total of four times. Battery sat for some time and completely drained. I tried charging it but got the flashing red/green light. I did jump the battery to get the charger to go red, but after a bit if flashes green/red. My Dewalt tools sat for the same amount of time with the battery in place, tool fired right up without issue. Drilled through pine 2x4. I bought this one after returning first drill due to misalignment where it would not seat it self in properly to the charger green and red lights get flashing. Now I need to return this one because it only held a charge for 15min. I really like the drill I wish it came with two batteries and wish it held a longer charge. I am willing too try another one and see if I have better luck.
