I'm 5'11\", 190lbs and the stand is perfect for my size. \n-Per packability, the stand nests when collapsed which makes trekking in and out of the woods convenient.\n-Per safety, the teeth bite well into pine bark and I have never had a scary moment using the stand. Some people of stated that it's difficult to climb with this climber. I had difficulty until I realize I just needed to loosen the foot straps so my feet moved forward towards the back of the stand. Doing this allows you to tilt the stand more when you climb. Once I figured that out, it was very easy to climb with it. However, this isn't a climber for big people. It's lightweight and slim profile were what sold me on the product. So I ignored the terrible reviews and purchased it anyway. Huge mistake! The cable support braces are not functional. They swivel as you climb making climbing very difficult and dangerous. I’ve packed it in and repeatedly need to stop to make adjustments with the straps to keep them from falling off. If your trying to climb a tree with bark might as well just forget about it. The cable ls get hung up under the bark. I’ve wasted too many hunts to keep trying this one in good faith. When climbing, the side bars pinch inward making it very difficult when wearing bulky clothes or gear. Basketball sized trees or bigger doesn’t matter, this stand would get 0 stars and my money back if I had my choice. Not bashing the brand but this product needs some improvements.
