The Muse Gold offers unmatched performance, feel and balance in an aesthetically beautiful rod. These fine-tuned rods excel at every application. It's built on high-modulus 36 ton Mitsubishi graphite blanks utilizing ZAT (Zonal Action Technology). ZAT divides the blank into three distinct zones - lower, mid and tip; each with distinct performance characteristics. Features:
Rod fished really well, very comfortable, nice balance and reasonably light. For the MSRP price point I was looking for a blade rod with good sensitivity. A little disappointed in that regard, though it did catch January open water walleye. Fished this against five other rods over three days. For me, an original Carrot Stix E21, Abu Veritas, and St. Croix Eyecon beat it in that regard. This is very subjective due to slightly different length rods, your mileage may vary.
Have the 6'9",6''6" and the 6'3'med light rods, all pared with a CI4 2500 Shimano with 6 and 8 lb. line. They all feel like an incredibly balanced precision and lightweight setup. I use these more often over my 6'8" Loomis NRX med light spin rod only because I feel that the Muse Gold is a slightly lighter action with almost the exact same specs. The saying that you get what you pay for is not 100% true here. Compared to other premium rods, in my opinion, the Muse Gold is an incredible value.
