The external material is a bit wooshy but it blocks water and wind very nicely making his perfect for California and for biking in chilly mornings. I wore this on a snow trip with only a long sleeve tshirt underneath and it was perfect. I wore this to the windy and chilly California coast and it was perfect. The waist is adjustable for a tight fit and the hood is too. The furry material is warm when it needs to be but not overly hot - fantastic. I was shocked at how perfectly it fit around my large shoulders while not looking huge and baggy around my narrow belly and waist. The arm pocket is nearly impossibly to open without a lot of effort - it has to go. Maybe build in a breast pocket (but don’t have a big plastic outline like Outdoor Research or Arcteryx). The other pockets are good and the zipper are great but the pockets are not insulated so they are no comfort in the cold. Please line these pockets in the next iteration. Do it with the same material that you use to line the jacket. I use it when the temps are too high to wear the aktivatr jacket...I think I spelled that correctly. I really like the green camo color. This jacket effectively blocks the wind and moderate rain yet is truly breathable compared to rain jackets I have worn. I have recently started using this more on hikes in the woods through very thick brush, I know it’s not designed for that and asking for a hole or tear, but it has proven extremely durable. Even through some of the worst thorns I stumbled on it shows no wear. Very impressed. As for sizing I am 6’3” about 205 and wear the XL.
