Stylish and lowkey puffy, and plenty warm for the winter days and nights. As a large headed individual I appreciate the spacious hood, and the amount of pockets is nice, and their placement is well thought out. I'm 5'8\" 180 lbs, and I got the large so I could layer under it if I wanted, and it's the perfect size for that. Medium would have been more true fitting, the large is slightly loose which is what I was going for, I can wear a flannel under it no problem. The weight and packability compared to how much warmth it provides are insanely impressive. Fits well. For reference I'm 5'9 with broad shoulders and weigh about 170 lbs and a small fits great but I prefer an athletic fit. If you want to layer heavily or want a looser fit, size up. As with anything, you have to measure something based on what it is intended to do. This is a light down jacket so it is not meant to be your heaviest jacket for sub-zero degree days. It is also not meant to be your outer layer protecting you from rain or sleety snow (down in general is not good for wet conditions). But as a mid layer on very very cold days or as your outer layer on dry days down to about 25-30 F, its fantastic. And as usual with Kuhl products, style is on point.
