Very comfortable, no blisters ever. I just bought the Kaha 3 and they run much smaller. The shoe feels tight as soon as I put it on. I have very slim feet and fine skin. These boots were so soft the entire trek over rocks, boulders, mud, rivers, road, gravel, snow. They got saturated once via an intense waterfall we had to hike through (had no choice but to walk shin deep) and they dried without too much trouble in the sun. Im a converted Hoka lover!!! Can't imagine the would work well with thicker socks. I returned. This usually involves steep hills in forested areas. As previous reviews covered, the toes are incredibly painful and when I tried to adjust the shoe strings the sides cut into my ankle. Additionally the fit on the ankles caused a rash. I had a death in the family so I wasn't able to hike in them until recently. When I contacted customer service to return them I was told I was outside of the return policy window. (By 10 days). Now they are asking me to return them for a 1 year warranty that I have to pay for shipping and then wait months to get them back or be refunded. Terrible experience. I was a first time customer and my order was over $400. I loved the walking shoes but after this experience I will never purchase from here again. Especially because things were out of my control due to my uncle passing, they have no compassion or understanding.
