But, I prefer these over the the women's shorts since they tend to run shorter on me due to my wider hips and legs. \n\nThe design is pretty decent, nothing too crazy or groundbreaking, but it works well for me. I've worn them for casual outings, running errands, and even during my gym sessions - they hold up pretty well, even after multiple washes.\n\nWhat I love most about these shorts is the quality of the fabric. They still look new, even after all the washing I've put them through. Very breathable, and feels nice on skin. The shorts don’t stretch at all (aside from the elastic waistband), so make sure you get the correct size.\n\nFit: fits true to size. Was worried from the lack of stretch, but these performed admirably in the gym. (See pic - shorts naturally sit at my knee cap).\n\nFunction: as stated, these perform well in the gym. They didn’t feel heavy on the skin and none of my movements felt restricted, even lateral movements (my initial worry from try on). Shorts hold well on full depth squats - 9inch isn’t something I get, I prefer 7inch, so I had to roll these up at the waist to get the right look. \n\nOverall: these are great for gym use. At this price point, they hold well and are durable enough for any kind of workoutt. The material is extremely thin and the mesh pocket liner feels fragile. I would be hesitant to put anything with a sharper edge or valuable in them. \n\nI was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but working out was less than ideal, too. The material does not flex or stretch, which actually restricts movement instead of the expected \"flow\". My best comparison for anyone familiar with Nike shorts is that they took their drawstring swimsuit and removed the inner mesh liner. \n\nThe design is simple and basic. The material is subpar.
