Good boot for the money. They just don't fit my feet
I went through 4 pair. I gave the first pair to my son because they didn't fit me. I went up a size 3 times and ended up with a boot to long and still bunches up my toes. Scheels staff went out of their way to help me. Their customer service is outstanding. The boot Is just to narrow to be comfortable. My foot is 11.5" long and I ended up with a size 15 and it's still to narrow and bunches up my toes.
So far these boots are working fine. Good boots for the money in terms of traction and support. Not comparable to $400 or more pair of boots but they work just fine. Feet stay dry and warm in spring snow and mud. Wore them right out the box into the woods ( after wearing them in the house to make sure they fit). I usually replace most stock insoles so not so much an issue.
They seem to be well built, although the right boot foot pad seems to be high making it push on the pad of my foot. The insoles are not the quality that goes with the boot, changed them to see if they will help with the foot pad issues.
Best boots I’ve ever worn! Well worth the money. When I first wore them I noticed that all I felt was top ankle support. There is zero movement around the lower ankle and foot which makes it feel like there’s nothing there. These boots are extremely comfortable and I highly recommend them. They fit true to size.
I purchased these in preparation for my first CO elk hunt planned for the fall. I just tied them out on a local hike up a steep mountain. They felt great and provided excellent support as I went up and then back down a rocky trail. They gripped the rocks well and the ankle support was perfect.
Seemed like a great boot, unfortunately the left boot was a bit tight lengthwise, so i returned them for the next half size bigger, as I wasn’t sure if they would stretch lengthwise over time. Sad to say they were out of stock for size 12. Are they no longer making this boot for Scheels?
I have owned several (4) pairs of Danner boots, all in the $200-350 range. I was really disappointed with the performance of my last pair, so I went looking for another brand.
I was looking at Kennetrek and Crispi, and then I found these boots at Scheels, and took a chance.
I put over 50 miles on them last year. - No break-in required (I did 12 miles the first day). - Warm - Feet stay dry (wicks sweat and keeps water out). We hunted with after rain and with heavy dew. - Stay tied. I had to do the old reverse wrap on my Danner boots to keep them tied. I have not had to do that with my Crispi boots. (I think it is because the laces are thicker, and have a little stretch). - Wrap around rubber toe and sole. The lack of this on my last pair of Danner boots likely contributed to their early failure. Even after many miles in switch grass, my Crispi boots still look new.
I would highly recommend these boots. Ask about the return policy at Scheels, I think it is pretty easy.
Spacious in the toe box which promotes good circulation and insulation. Very comfortable out of the box. The boot has a rigid sole which makes this boot a dream tackling mountainous terrain. It seems like these Crispis are built to last. Only time will tell. Worth the $$$ as I was tearing through Danners each season.
I bought these on a whim as I didn't want to go all in on a more expensive pair of boots & have had bad luck with anything around the $150-$200 range. These appear to be a good boot with good features and pretty comfortable right out of the box. The insoles are the usual low cost that you find with boots from the factory, I replaced mine with Superfeet and the boots give me much more support that others I have had. I'd give them 5 stars, but only had them a month or so, so far so good.

These are the most comfortable hunting boots I have warn. Have warn them deer hunting in the east all season and Montana mule deer hunting walking the coulees. Comfortable out of the box and just keep getting better with more use. These boots are light weight and well worth the $. 400 grams is perfect for hiking in the cold weather and hunting the rut in the east. Late season I wore with boot blankets and they were perfect.
Great boots . I have worked and hunted in them for a month and love the stability they provide. Gore-tex is doing its job and the boots are very well built. So far I am really happy with them. I gave them four stars because I had to replace the insole after the second day because the first insole was not very good.

After hunting in lesser quality boots I upgraded to the Crispi West River’s and I couldn’t be happier. They are comfortable right out of the box and the need for break in was almost non-existent. I found that they are true to size with plenty of room in the toe box and excellent heel retention. The Vibram soles perform great. I suffer from occasional plantar fasciitis, so as a precaution I switched out the Crispi insole with GoreTex-safe Superfeet Trailblazers. This is a great combination that I am very pleased with. Kudos to Scheels and Crispi for partnering together and offering this great pair of boots.
My lovely wife got these for me for Christmas at my request. Just send the link and Santa brought them. Now to the boots. There’re are very comfortable and lite weight for the structure they provide. As others have said they are great boot for the price. I think for this type boot you will have a hard time finding a better value.
On a 5 day hunt I did a lot of hiking and sitting to glass. Temps were in the single digits in the morning and 30's in the afternoon. With a regular pair of men's crew socks, my feet never got to hot and never got cold. Pretty awesome!
First time crispi owner will be buying them again heard lots of great reviews gave them 4 stars cause the factory insole was pitiful. Other than that great comfort put 20+ miles on them so far no complaints. Fit true to size and not much break in time, although hard to get used too after wearing the weak ankle support of other big name company boots that are far under par for their price. Scheels was an excellent company to deal with on top of good boots.

I purchase this boots for hunting in Vermont .I always wore perfect hunters They are a well made boot and have be doing great
Bought these looking for a good quality boot to last a few years, and not even a year later the stitching on the boot is falling apart. This boot has no ankle or foot support, deflationary not a buy ever again
Best boot I’ve ever owned! Sole was stiff for the first hour but otherwise they easily broke in. Used them in Montana in the mountains with snow, and long hikes. I always arrived back to camp dry and comfortable. I paired this boot with kenatreck gators. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra hundred dollars and by a great boot. After a long day on your feet in the wet and cold you’ll realize how great this boot is.
These boots outperformed any other boot I have ever owned.
I wear boots for a living. When I was planning my first elk hunt I wanted a top-shelf pair to protect and stabilize my feet. I was not disappointed. Most comfortable pair I have ever owned. Construction quality is exceptional. I had one hot spot on toe. Adjusted poor fitting sock. No more issues. I always felt secure in my footing climbing up and down steep rocky slopes. Be aware that these are not light hiking boots if you are planning a 15-mile day hike. I am sold on Crispi. I did not fully test it’s waterproofing, but it shed most dirt and water as expected.
Bought a significantly more expensive boot for an elk trip. That boot never quite fit the cut of my heel right. Last minute, bought these boots, and they worked great. They performed in the mountains with basically zero break-in period, and they were very comfortable. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. Great product.
So far as far as comfort and warmth they are great. I’m having an issue getting the tongue to line up and the lace hook on the tongue is loose. We will see. I’ve only put about 100 hours on them. They seem pretty good though.
First, I will be buying all of my boots from Scheels from now on. Scheels' customer service is second to none. I originally ordered two different sizes to determine which fit best. I settled on the size 9 and wore the boots around the house (inside and out) for a couple weeks and determined they were slightly too big (heel slip). I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly and Scheels took the worn pair back as a return. Most folks say the boots are true to size but I needed a half size smaller than I normally wear. Second, take out your credit card and give Scheels your money; these boots are fantastic. I just returned from my Colorado elk hunt. I walked countless miles and my feet felt great. These boots had traction when other folks were slipping in the snow and mud. The waterproofing was also perfect in swampy areas. Scheels - please work on creating a shorter, non-insulated version of this boot.
I knew the quality of these boots wasn’t going to be quite the same as the higher priced versions but seams are already coming apart after 3 days of work. We will see how they do for 10 days of elk hunting next week. They fit great and seem to be great boots so far but I wish I spent the extra $100 for the better quality.
Very well constructed boot and I have no doubt that they’d hold up great in the back county. Unfortunately I was unable to get them to work for me (as I heard said you don’t pick your boots, your boots pick you) and my feet. However Scheels stands by their return policy and no issues getting a full refund. Outstanding customer care at Scheels and I’ll always be a loyal customer.
