I love the fit and finish of this rod. Rod should balance with any ultralight reel 6.0 - 7.0 oz. I am using it with a Daiwa Tournament SS 700 real. Perfect fit. This reel weights 7.0 oz. You could go lighter and still balance but this works for me. Period.","text":"I love this rod. Heavily underrated, and I’m surprised there’s no reviews on these. For the price, this rod punches way above its weight class.\n\nI have the 5’6 ultralight and pair it with my stradic 1000 running 8-6 braid to fluoro. It’s a stiffer ultralight compared other ultralights, and inspires confidence that I can probably work a much bigger fish without a problem. It casts crazy far as well, which is kind of insane for a rod of this length, and especially farther when I run straight 4 lb fluoro.\n\nGreat handle, too. It’s very comfortable, which is surprising, considering you’re not holding any soft parts of the reel seat handle, as there’s no foam or cork except on the rod butt. \n\nThe Fuji alconite guides was the cherry on top. The fit and finish of this rod is just absolutely superb. I freakin’ love this rod.
