The shirt is comfortable, fits well, and looks good. I got it specifically for sun protection during hot runs, as I really don't feel like messing with sunscreen for a regular run. Like some other reviewers, I was a little concerned about how it would feel in hot weather. Granted we're past the 100F + days (finally!), but this worked fine in mid-80s. It's light enough to let a breeze help out, loose enough that it's not just transferring the heat directly into your skin, and I imagine that dumping some water over it would feel really nice on the crazy-hot days. Haven't had to try that yet, but it's definitely coming! The hood works well enough with a cap underneath. Comparing to Florence Marine, Columbia, and REI brands. The fit is good, the hood stays up while running/bouncing, and the thumb and watch cutouts (on both arms thank you!) really make things nice for staying covered. I recently did the first 40 miles of a 100 with this and it performed perfectly. I decided to try the LS due to prolonged sun exposure training for my first 100mi and recent skin cancer removal. I’ve spent many hours in the sun training and racing Ironman but decided it was time to try the UPF instead of layers of sun screen. I can honestly say the shirt helps cools, retains sweat but does not get overly saturated and heavy. It clings but not uncomfortable. The material is super soft. I liked it so much I bought a second.
