In my opinion, this is the perfect size/weight knife for my EDC. I do environmental work and get pretty dirty during fieldwork. So, toughness, corrosion resistance, and sharpness are my most an important factors (in that order). At work, I’m constantly moving through various soil/water chemicals, and this knife is still flawless after 8 months. Even when it gets super dirty, the action remains smooth and it’s really easy to clean. There’s not a blemish anywhere on it, and it’s still razor sharp. It prompted me to purchase another one for my brother in law. And technically, this review prompt was from that purchase last month. Bottom line, the knife is awesome. It is a smidge pricey, but totally worth it in terms of what you’re getting. This knife is sold as part of the hunt line of knives and it certainly will work for that. Extra sharp out of the box, probably the sharpest Benchmade knife that I own. But, it is more than that. When I first opened the box, I was very impressed with the beauty of this knife. . . . I had started to order the Bugout, but decided on this mini-Taggedout, and I am glad that I did.\n\nIt is more than a hunt knife and is a great EDC knife. I find myself carring it more than any knife that I own! It has become my favorite among all my knives. I really like the strength and fit of the handle and the S45VN blade is one of the best steels going as far as I am concerned. The clip point blade is my favorite style and it fits all of my needs!!\n\nThe only thing to consider is if you want the mini or the full size. I have two CR’s (Full and Mini) that both required a lot of effort to break in and operate smoothly and without a lot of effort. I was reluctant to try again but pulled the trigger anyway. WINNER!!! Smooth and easy operation, sharp as anything, S45 is self explanatory for tough steel and the bonus is the bare 2. 2 ounces that you get to lug around all day. It’s well sized to work with and doesn’t spoof your non-knife savvy co-workers.
