They are easy to put on; I just slide my foot in with no need to use the pull loop. I’ve had a sure footing with it, haven’t experienced and slips, and have a secure feeling in my ankle from the lower positioned first lace hook. I have not had an opportunity to test the waterproof quality except for a hose running over the lower portion of the laces and sure enough, my foot stayed dry. It fits fine as I needed the EE size. I bought this as a replacement for the discontinued Explorer series, which I very much miss and hope they resume manufacturing.
