I haven’t had an opportunity to use it yet 😆. It is a nice looking and good shouldering shotgun. It is light and I’d think easy to carry all day. My beef is that the finish is poor. At less than 6 lbs it is lightning quick on the bird while being remarkably soft shooting. It just fit me better than other semi-autos. The overall fit and finish, deep polished blue metal, engraved receiver and glossy good looking wood was too much to resist. The Affinity 3 gets rave reviews but there is very little info specific to the select model including weight. My 12 Ga sample trips the scales at just 6.5 lbs. That's a full half pound less than my 70s vintage Remington 870 Wingmaster in 20 gauge. It is a gun that you can easily carry all day but recoil with 1-1.5 oz target loads turned out to be pleasantly light. No bruised shoulder or red cheeks after 3 rounds of clays on the same day. I find it more pleasant to shoot than a Citori that I subsequently purchased. Franchi recommends a minimum of 1 1/8 oz loads at 1200 ft/sec but I have good success with the 1 oz loads as well. I am very happy with this gun and plan to buy another select model in 20 gauge. \nI should add that I am a lefty. Switching the safety to left hand is easy.
