To be honest it’s not much different than the $200 Walmart one we bought about 8 yrs ago. I thought I was getting a better quality hoop. True to its name, it was very easy and straight-forward to assemble, only taking only about 30 minutes. After considering buying a hoop for years, and after reading so many horrific reviews on assembling them, this was a breeze. Also, the hoop seems solid - even when the ball hits the backboard hard it doesn't shake much at all, and while I wasn't sure whether I'd be a fan of a non-glass backboard, this one is fairly good - good enough to teach my kids how to do bank shots (the ball doesn't just die on the board like some cheap plastic ones). Also, the crank handle easily adjusts the hoop from between 8 to 10 feet, and my six year old can handle it with ease. For the price -- around $500 -- I really don't think you could get a much better hoop than this, both in terms of quality and ease of assembly.
